Need verifications of: * Proof of GROSS income for the previous 30 day period for entire household. If paid weekly bring the last five pay stubs you've received, Bi-weekly bring the last three pay stubs you've received. (Bank statements aren't allowed for wages because they only give net income.) Examples of countable income are: wages, alimony, unemployment benefits, utility allowance, SSI, SSDI, Social Security, interest for savings, pensions, TANF, worker's comp, veteran's benefits, railroad pension, and strike benefits. If a head of household states they have zero income, An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax transcript is required in addition to proof of how you are supporting the household. Households reporting zero income who were not required to file taxes will need to request a copy of a Verification of Non-Filing of Returns from the IRS as proof that a return was not filed. Description

Provides payment aid once per heating season to consumers who have been disconnected or received a shut-off notice, or service that needs started, or have 25% or less supply of bulk fuel (fuel oil or propane). To receive assistance, households served by a state-regulated utility must also sign up for a payment plan, such as the Percentage of Income Utility Plan (PIPP). Program can also pay for furnace repair and space heaters. Can also pay for furnace repair and space heaters through this program.
