PET PROJECT | FAIRFIELD COUNTY 211
Provides pet care and boarding for individuals with severe mental illness/substance use disorders in the event they need acute inpatient psychiatric or detox care that would leave them away from their home and pets for an extended period of time. ***This is not an emergency placement program for pets and placement of pet could take several days to coordinate. *Pet must be up to date on all shots and required vaccinations. If they are not, the animal will be vaccinated by the Humane Society and The Pet Project will cover the cost for required vaccinations. *Pet boarding is limited to five (5) days. Additional days may be determined on a caseby-case basis. *Transportation of animal to The Human Society must be arranged by the owner of the animal. *Animal must meet shelter intake guideline.
