Eligibility
- Serves residents of Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne counties.
- Gross household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines OR must be an older adult age 60 or over.
- Case acceptance is based on a variety of criteria including case type, level of service required, goal of representation, merit, and availability of staff. Other criteria may apply based on the details of the case.
- Even if a caller does not qualify for agency services, Community Legal Aid is often able to refer callers to another appropriate program.
Required documents
- If possible, callers should collect legal documents related to the case in order to provide information during the screening process.
- Must complete a Community Legal Aid Divorce Application. Visit the website at www.communitylegalaid.org/apply to complete form online or call the Legal HelpLine to request that one be mailed to you.
