Open to retired military personnel (served for at least 20 years and retired) and the spouse/widow of retired military personnel.

Provides undesignated temporary financial assistance in the form of grants and zero-interest loans to retired military personnel and their families in partnership with Military Aid Societies. Assistance may help with a variety of needs including emergency food, shelter, utilities, emergency travel, burial of a loved one, etc.
