Therapeutic Horsemanship Program | Achievement Centers For Children

Offers horsemanship activities for persons with disabilities (physical, emotional, or cognitive) and without disabilities. Students learn basic riding skills while increasing balance coordination, flexibility, strengthen muscles, increase attention span, and build confidence and self-esteem.

Application process

Phone for information or an application packet M-F: 8:30am-5:00pm. Applicant will have to attend an in-person intake interview.

Fee

Fixed fee; Third party payment accepted: such as a county board of developmental disabilities. Private insurance does not usually pay for most services.

Eligibility

Persons age four and older, accepts both youth and adults, who have a disability (physical, emotional, and cognitive) and persons without disabilities. Must have enough upper body strength to sit up independently and tolerate gentle movement.
