CREDIT REPORTS | ANNUAL CREDIT REPORT REQUEST SERVICE

Provides a centralized service for individuals to request credit reports (also called a credit file disclosure). Under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) individuals can request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Upon request, a "fraud alert" can be placed in your file to let potential creditors and others know that you have been a victim of identity theft. Also, upon request may "freeze" credit report and scores, but will have to request to lift the freeze before doing business that requires a credit check.
