Eligibility
Serves disabled Veterans in Cuyahoga, Portage, Stark, and Summit counties whose income does not exceed 80% of the median area income. Property must be owned by the Veteran who is applying, must have current property insurance, and must be current on property taxes.
Required documents
Completed application. Application includes a list of required documents such as federal tax return, DD-214, mortgage statement or paid property tax statement, photo ID, proof of income, and so forth.

Provides 5-year forgivable loans to disabled Veterans for home repairs and modifications. Modifications and rehabilitation of the primary residence may include:
- Making physical modifications to accommodate the functional limitations that result from having a disability such as wheel chair ramps, bathroom fixtures, special lighting, and so forth.
- Making physical modifications to allow for a Veteran's caregiver.
- Rehabilitation of a residence that is in disrepair.
- Installing energy efficiency features or equipment when utility costs are a financial burden.
- Other activities that address the adaptive housing needs of the Veteran.

Services provided vary by county.
