Description
Residential summer camp programs at Camp Oty'Okwa. From first-time campers to well-experienced campers, Adventure Camp is fun for everyone. Campers enjoy hikes through wooded terrain that allows them to truly experience nature. On the hikes, campers experience waterfalls, recess caves, ravines, creeks & so much more. Campers also enjoy time swimming, fishing, telling & listening to stories, arts & crafts, & lots of singing! Some adventures they may have will include spending the night sleeping in the woods under a canopy of trees & stars! Campers assigned to cabin groups get to help decide, with the counselor, activities to do during their stay. Each week is a new adventure! Each camp sessions provides hands-on sessions focused on learning. Campers will experience topics such as geology, stream studies, wildlife, and much more. Environmental Educators are on staff throughout the summer to accompany cabin groups on hikes and also to plan activities around fun science topics. The focus of all camp counselors is to encourage continued learning.
