Recreation - Sports Instruction/Participation | Berea City Of -

Provides a wide variety of recreational activities including but not limited to indoor and outdoor swimming lessons/ aerobics (including parent/infant), weight training instruction for women and youth; softball and basketball for youth and adults; volleyball, wrestling, flag and tackle football, Wii athletics for seniors and cheerleading for youth. Teams play each other within the agency. Also offers an indoor walk/run track and a weight room.

Application process

Come in during service hours to register for membership. In addition, come in to register for each organized activity, usually starting about one month in advance. Non-residents will be put on a waiting list until near the time of the activity. For summer swimming lessons, registration starts in April, and non-residents can register starting June 1.

Fee

There is a basic membership fee; thereafter there is a fee for each activity, with three categories increasing in cost: 1. Berea residents, 2. those who work in Berea, 3. non-residents/workers.

Eligibility

All activities are targeted to Berea residents, but will serve non-residents if there is space available. Swimming instruction starts at age 3. Team sports start at age 5.
