Offers an identification card to Veterans that serves as an alternative to the Armed Forces discharge record known as a DD Form 214 or DD214. The Veteran Identification Card serves as a convenient way to provide proof of military service and may be honored by Ohio merchants who give Veterans a discount. Businesses that honor the identification card for Veterans do so voluntarily and choose the savings they offer.

Available at Summit County Fiscal Offices, Recorder Division, 4th Floor on Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Closed on holidays. Must be renewed every four (4) years.

Call the Recorder Division for more information. Veterans must come to the office in-person and present the proper identification to apply during regular office hours.

Eligibility
Serves Veterans residing in Summit County who hold an Armed Forces discharge record known as a DD Form 2104 or DD214. The discharge record must state the words: Honorable Discharge.
