- Individuals or families can apply for housing online by visiting the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) website at www.akronhousing.org. Follow instructions for submitting a Preliminary Application. - Once a Preliminary Application has been submitted online, the applicant will be provided with a confirmation number as proof of the date and time of application submission. - When applicants are near the top of the wait list for any of the programs they selected, applicants will be notified by mail to attend an orientation and complete a full application. - After completing a full application, persons with mental illness should contact CSS for a recommendation which will move them up on the wait list. Call CSS at 330-996-9141 and request Resident Services.

Provides 120 units of permanent supportive housing to individuals who are currently homeless, including homeless individuals with mental illness. Provides medical and mental health services for residents on site through a partnership with Community Support Services (CSS), who partially owns the building.
