ADULT PROBATION, PRETRIAL, DIVERSION, AND POST CONVICTION SERVICES | CUYAHOGA COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT - GENERAL DIVISION

Provides formal supervision for those awaiting trial or on community control (probation) as ordered by the court. Supervises probationers and monitors compliance to the conditions of their probation as well as providing other services such as referrals for social services. Specialized probation services provided for those needing intensive supervision such as those who are mentally disordered offenders, mentally retarded offenders, and sex offenders. Places offenders into drug treatment when needed. Provides case management for those in drug treatment and acts as a liaison between the court, client, and treatment facility. Also supervises persons in the work release and home detention programs.

Application process

Must be placed on probation or court supervised release by the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Some specialized programs are by court order, others may be referred by a Probation Officer. Phone for information M-F: 8:30am-4:30pm.

Fee

Fixed fee for some services; fees may be waived for indigent persons.

Eligibility

Adults 18 or older who are charged with or convicted of a felony in the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
