Provides free Pap tests, mammograms, clinical breast exams and pelvic exams to eligible women with no health insurance. The agency contracts with health care facilities throughout the area, so service can be obtained in a convenient location.

Fee

Free. Women screened through the program and who are found to need treatment for breast, cervical, or pre-cancerous cancers will be covered by the part of Medicaid that applies to this program for their treatment and other health needs.

Eligibility

Must meet age guidelines (21-64) for Pap Smears and mammograms). Must have limited income (no more than 300% of federal poverty level FPL), no Medicare or Medicaid coverage, and no private health insurance. Those with a physician-confirmed abnormality are prioritized. Screening will be covered once a year, but repeat tests if requested by a doctor will also be covered. Women who have no insurance and are diagnosed in this program with breast or cervical cancer may be eligible for Medicaid for the course of their treatment. Northern Region serves Cuyahoga, Geauga, Medina, Portage, Wayne, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson, Lorain, Lake, Ashtabula, Summit, Trumbull, Mahoning, Williams, Fulton, Lucas, Ottawa, Lorain, Erie, Huron, Crawford, Wyandot, Seneca, Sandusky, Hancock, Hardin, Allen, Auglaize, Mercer, VanWert, Paulding, Defiance, Wood and Columbiana Counties. The Southeast Region serves: Belmont, Coshocton, Monroe, Lawrence, Ross, Pike, Scioto, Gallia, Jackson, Vinton, Hocking, Perry, Athens, Morgan, Washington, Monroe, Noble, Guernsey, and Muskingum Counties. The Southwest Region serves Darke, Preble, Butler, Hamilton, Shelby Miami, Montgomery, Warren, Clermont, Champaign, Clark, Greene, Clinton, Highland, Brown, and Adams Counties.
