Serves school age children and older with developmental disabilities residing in Summit County and surrounding counties.
Required documents
If being served by the Board of Developmental Disabilities, a copy of the participants ISP is required. Other documents will be requested as needed.

Application process
Call the office for more information or schedule a meeting with the Advocacy Program Coordinator to develop "A Life Plan" and sign a service agreement.

Summit County, Ohio
Acts as a surrogate family member to ensure that the participant’s rights are not violated. "A Life Plan" is developed to help provide guidance to the Advocate as to what is important to know about the person served. Provides participants an opportunity to socialize one to one with the Advocate and/or in the community in meaningful recreation and leisure activities such as swimming, hiking, meals out, concerts, sporting events, vacations, and church programs. Advocates can participate in ISP or special meetings. Help ensure participants are living and working in appropriate settings.
