WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that provides breastfeeding and lactation support, milk, eggs, whole grains (such as bread, rice, tortillas), beans, juices, cereals, peanut butter, baby foods and vouchers for fruit and vegetables at no cost to eligible participants. Cheese and canned fish are available to women who are fully breastfeeding.

Eligibility

Reside in Delaware, be pregnant or post-partum (up to 6 months), be breastfeeding an infant (up to 1 year), have an infant or child under the age of 5, or have a nutritional or medical need (as determined by a WIC professional, earn a low or moderate income. A person receiving Medicaid, Food Stamps or Ohio Works First (OWF) automatically meets the income eligibility criteria.
