Application process

Application required. Mail or bring application in-person to an authorized Altafiber retailer. Annual recertification required. Any address or eligibility changes must be reported within 30 days to continue service. 

Submit application or go to an authorized Altafiber retailer to verify eligibility through the National Verifier database. 

Fee

No fee to apply. Call for information on fee waivers and monthly discounts. 

Eligibility

Household income that is at or below 135% FPL, or participate in certain federal assistance programs, such as: 

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Medicaid
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit

Note: Lifeline benefits are limited to one per household per service.
