KINSHIP CARE SUBSIDY PROGRAMS | ADAMS COUNTY CHILDREN SERVICES

Provides temporary financial support for minor children in the legal and physical custody of grandparents, relatives, and other kinship caregivers. Eligible kinship caregivers will receive an initial payment to help defray the costs of initial placement and may receive subsequent payment at six-month intervals to support the stability of the child's placement in the home.

Open to relative and non-relative adult caregivers who: -provide full-time care to a child under the age of 18 -were given legal custody or guardianship of the child on or after July 1, 2005 -have gone through a home assessment and approval process (including background check) with a public children services agency, and -have a household income at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level

Also provides information and training for potential foster/adoptive caregivers. Wilson Children's Home residential center provides on site care for children ages 10-18.
