A governmental program that provides low-income households with discounted cell phone service. Customers cannot not be enrolled in any other Lifeline assistance program. Customer must already be participating in an assistance program such as Food Stamps, HEAP, SSDI, TANF, Section 8, Medicaid etc... To qualify via income customers must have 3 months of consecutive pay stubs, letter from the employer, last year's income tax return and employer W-2 form. Customers can apply on-line at www.safelink.com
