LEGAL SERVICES | AMERICAN-ARAB ANTI-DISCRIMINATION COMMITTEE

Provides legal assistance for those of Arab heritage who are experiencing any type of discrimination. Does not litigate directly on the client's behalf, but refers to a network of legal professionals as needed. Works with the civil rights offices of all government agencies on policies. Provides legal assistance for immigrants, including information on the law, what documents to file, and what course of action is required, as well as referral as needed for representation.

Phone M-F: 9:30am-5:30pm and ask for Legal Department or check the website for information. Those with problems of discrimination are particularly advised to write down the details of the problem.

Free (donations accepted).

Eligibility

Open to those of Arab heritage who have any legal residence status in the United States. Generally serves individuals whose household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For some types of cases, may serve individuals whose household income is up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
