Hours

Open as temperatures warrant. During periods of cold weather, generally open overnight from 4:00pm to 8:00am, including holidays. Check in must occur before 8:00pm.

Application process

- Walk in for service. Overnight check in ends at 8:00pm unless escorted by law enforcement. Call ahead to confirm if shelter is open. - Portage Area Regional Transit Authority (PARTA) may offer free bus rides to the shelter if the rider mentions they need to go to Shepherd's House.

- Serves those experiencing homelessness in Portage County. - Anyone entering Shepherd’s House must agree to a thorough items check, and the facility uses a metal detector, as well. - No weapons, alcohol, or drugs are allowed on the premises. - Warming center guests will have access to the common area and main family area showers.
