Independence Place | Ywca Greater Cleveland
Operates a 23-unit supportive housing residential facility for young adults who have aged out of foster care. Residents have the opportunity to participate in classes that teach parenting skills, job readiness, and independent living skills as they work toward self-sufficiency. The facility also offers a community room, laundry room and an exercise room. Units are furnished efficiency apartments.

Fee
Residents are required to pay a percentage of income toward rent. Percentage varies according to the needs of the resident.
Eligibility
Young adults, age 18 through 24, who reside in Cuyahoga County. Preference is given to former foster youth. Can accommodate those with 1 child through age 5. Must be homeless and diagnosed with a disability (this can be a mental or physical disability, drug abuse, or HIV).
