To receive the highest level of care, individuals who indicate the rape occurred within the past 72 hours may walk-in for service. SANE nurses are on call, and will be paged when requested. Physicians will provide any needed emergency health care and will direct individuals to nurses following care. If the rape occurred more than 72 hours ago, individuals may call the Rape Crisis hotline for additional services.
Emergency medical services are as assessed for other hospital services. SANE examinations are free.

Provides a private, confidential area, staffed by nurses who have been specifically trained to care for individuals of any age who have experienced sexual assault or rape. Service includes a complete physical assessment and, if needed, evidence is collected in a sensitive manner. Medical, legal, and emotional support is also provided.
