Application process

May walk in for assessment M-F: 7:00am-9:00am. May also phone M-F: 8:30am-7:30pm for information and to arrange for assessment. May leave a message after hours that will be returned, usually within the next day. There is often a waiting list. If there is a waiting list, those on the list are advised to call daily and hit option 2 to maintain their place on the list. Indigent heroin addicts can walk in to pretreatment group. Pre-treatment group is the only way an indigent heroin addict can enter the program. In emergency situations, walk in for service 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week to emergency room. Repeat clients may be asked for proof of following residential facility stay per doctor's office.

Fee

Third-party payment accepted (some Medicaid, Medicare, some Private insurance plans); if uninsured, will attempt to get patient enrolled in various available city, state, or national insurance programs for which they are eligible.. May qualify for patient payment assistance, which is a discounted bill based on income. Those with no insurance must meet income limits to qualify for free care.

Eligibility

Ages 18 and older. For pregnant women, offers outpatient treatment but they must be under the care of an OB/GYN or they will be sent to one. If patient is indigent, can receive service once every year only if they previously left the hospital with medical approval. To receive free care must be resident of Cuyahoga County and must have income no higher than 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
