Application process

Contact New Directions in Champaign or Logan County and discuss your situation with an Advocate. An over the phone assessment can determine quick eligibility. Consumer may also come directly to office for a consultation to determine safe steps to take. Law enforcement may need to be called for escort if advocate is asked to assist with transportation. A more detailed intake will be processed when family is safe at shelter and settled in. Inquiries about our services may be made in order to talk over this very difficult decision without judgment or pressure.

Fee

No Fees. All services are paid for by the Victim of Crime Act and United Way.

Interpreters will be notified for case by case situation other than English.
