PRE-APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING (PAT) | CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Offers a program in conjunction with the local building and trades council (union) that features career exploration and hands-on labs along with classroom instruction that integrates basic reading and math with technical knowledge and industry-specific terminology. Service includes visits to apprenticeship training, guest speakers and visits with employers. Class prepares those with no experience in construction to join an apprenticeship program in construction.

Call for scheduling and information any time. May need to leave a message. May also walk in M-F: 8:00am-3:00pm to take a qualifying literacy test that is required before acceptance into the program.

Fixed fee, but program is grant funded so cost should not be an obstacle.

Ages 18 and older, high school diploma or equivalence certificate such as a GED, valid driver's license, drug free.
