Eligibility
Open to family members and close friends who have received legal custody or guardianship of a child whose birth parents cannot care for them. Child and caregiver must live in Geauga County. Family (including child) must have income no greater than 250% of federal poverty level. Officially, the child must have been adjudged abused, neglected, dependent or unruly, but this is generally not a problem, and no one should be discouraged from applying because of this.
