Call or walk-in for service M-F: 8:30am-4:30pm to request or fill out a registration form or to get a list of sites to register. May also download a form online and mail it in to the county board of elections. Individuals may not use a PO Box as an address to register. In order to vote in an upcoming election, voter registration form must be postmarked 30 days before upcoming election (if mailed) or must be dropped off to the board of elections (or a public agency that accepts registrations. See How Service is Provided section.) by 9:00pm on the registration date deadline.

Eligibility
Must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Cuyahoga County for at least 30 days by the date of the election. Must be at least 18 years old on or before the day of the general election. If individual will be 18 on or before November 2, may vote in the primary election for candidates, but cannot vote on issues until they turn 18. Those who have moved since the last time they voted or who have changed their names need to update their registration. Must not be incarcerated (in prison or jail) for a felony conviction under the laws of this state, another state or the United States. If incarcerated for a misdemeanor, may register and vote. If individual is an ex-offender with a felony conviction, must register to vote upon release from prison, even if registered prior to imprisonment. Must not have not been declared incompetent for voting purposes by a probate court; and must have not been permanently disenfranchised for violations of the election laws. College students living in Ohio may register to vote using whichever address the student considers his or her permanent residence at the time of voting.
