Meals On Wheels | Brecksville-Broadview Heights Meals On Wheels
Provides two meals daily for older adults and disabled/convalescents who are unable to shop for and prepare their own food. The meals include one hot and cold meal, both delivered in the middle of the day. This is a private pay program. Diabetic individuals (not insulin injection dependent) and individuals needing a low sodium diet can be accommodated by arrangement.

Application process
Referral is required by a doctor, social worker, family member or church. Phone: individual(s) can call the number associated with their city. Intake M-F: 10:00am-4:00pm for information, to make referral and to make an appointment for an in-home assessment. (If interviewer is not available, leave message on answering machine and call will be returned.) Contact can also be made through Brecksville or Broadview Heights churches or City Human Services. Assessments must be completed before service is started. Must initially purchase 2 weeks of service pre-paid; after that service can be cancelled with 1 days notice.

Eligibility
Serves adults age 18 and older; must reside in Brecksville or Broadview Heights and be able to afford the fee. Cannot serve diabetics who are on a regimen of insulin injections.
