Summer-Ebt (S-EBT) - Supplemental Food Funds For School-Aged Children | Ohio Department Of Job And Family Services

Serves Ohio children (grades: preschool through 12th grade) who are either receiving free or reduced lunch through their school, and/or who's household is enrolled in SNAP (food stamps), Ohio Works First (OWF), or enrolled in Medicaid (and met the income criteria for free or reduced meals when they applied for Medicaid). Children attending schools under the Community Eligibility Provision (schools where every child is provided free or reduced lunch regardless of income) and who are not already on SNAP (food stamps), Ohio Works First (OWF), or enrolled in Medicaid (and met the income criteria for free or reduced meals when they applied for Medicaid) are not automatically eligible and must meet income requirements (185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or less). Only serves children in home school and/or virtual school who meet requirements for or are already on SNAP, OWF or MEDICAID.

In most cases, no application is needed (funds will be sent automatically). Households on SNAP will have the funds added to their Ohio Direction Card automatically. Families who do not have an Ohio Direction Card will have an S-EBT card mailed to them automatically. Households with children enrolled in a school under the Community Eligibility Provision (schools where every child is provided free or reduced lunch regardless of income) will need to apply online. Clients who are experiencing difficulties with their card or any other issues, or who have questions can call Customer Service M-F: 8:00am-5:00. Callers with concerns may also contact their local school district.
