Victims of any class felony committed by a juvenile in Ohio and committed to the department's custody. Victims must be registered as such through the court where juvenile was adjudicated.
Proof of registration with court that adjudicated juvenile offender: requires DYS youth number.

Registered victims receive a mailing from agency following adjudication of juvenile offender. Victims who respond to the mailing are registered to receive the notification service by mail. Individuals who wish to receive notification but have not received a mailing from the agency must first register as a victim with the court that adjudicated the juvenile. Phone the agency for information or service. Staff will check on registration status and determine if the caller is eligible for the victim notification service.

Provides an opportunity for those who have been victims of a felony committed in Ohio by a juvenile to receive notification regarding a change in the adjudicated juvenile offender's status, such as release, review of probation and conditions of parole.
