Serves children, aged 0-22, with brain injuries, developmental disabilities (such as epilepsy or cerebral palsy), muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, autism spectrum disorders, genetic disorders, and Down Syndrome. No residency restrictions.
Medical history, immunization records. Referral from physician.
M-F: 8:00am-5:00pm. Three-week and four-week sessions are available, where the child participates in therapy for up to three hours, three to five days per week.

Description

Provides an intensive therapy model where children work with occupational and physical therapists who use pool exercise, a specially designed Universal Exercise unit and other techniques to strengthen muscles and build gross and fine motor coordination and functional skills. Goals are set and measured for each participant through an individualized evaluation and goal-setting process provided to each child participating in the program.

Advances the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, autism spectrum, genetic disorders, Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Offers early intervention and family support services, traditional physical/occupational/speech/language therapy services for children, intensive physical/occupational therapy services, residential services (offers several group homes), an assistive technology center, and organizational and community employment services.
