Application forms are also available on-line at Ohio Attorney General’s Office Web site, at the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, or where weapons training was received. Once application is completed, must drop off application on-site Tu, F: 8:00am-4:00pm, Sa: 8:00am-3:00pm. Permit may then be picked up Tu: 8:00am-4:00pm, Th: 3:00pm-8:00pm and Sa: 8:00am-3:00pm.

Fixed fee for application and criminal background check. Only cash, money orders, or certified checks accepted. No personal or business checks.

Adults 21 yrs and older who are Geauga County residents and are mentally competent and not a chronic abuser of drugs or alcohol. Permits will NOT be issued to felons or those currently being prosecuted for any felony or a violent or drug-related misdemeanor.
