Application process
Individuals injured at work are required to report it to their supervisor or other designated person as soon as possible after the event. Employers must report the injury or disease to its workers’ compensation insurance carrier within three days of receiving notification from an employee. If the injury or disease requires an employee to miss one day or more from work, the insurance carrier must report the injury or disease to the Department of Workers’ Claims.
Eligibility
Serves employees injured at work in a single event or due to a series of small events. Also serves employees who have experienced an occupational disease and the employers of someone who was injured at work or experienced an occupational disease.
