Offers regular, planned home visits to pregnant women and families with information on resources and skills to help them raise children who are physically, socially, and emotionally healthy and ready to learn. Offers help from health, social services and child development professionals. Home visits may include:
- Supporting preventive health and prenatal practices;
- Assisting mothers on how to best breastfeed and care for their babies;
- Promoting parents' use of positive parenting techniques; and
- Working with parents to set goals for the future, continuing their education, and find employment and childcare solutions.
