KINSHIP PERMANENCY INCENTIVE PROGRAM | LUCAS COUNTY CHILDREN SERVICES
Provides short-term, time-limited payments to relative caregivers who have obtained permanent legal custody of a child. Not emergency assistance. Payments are designed to reimburse the initial costs associated with taking a relative's child/ren into the home. Those eligible can receive $525 per child initially and $300 per child at six-month intervals, not to exceed 8 total payments. Availability determined by state budget and availability of funds.

Eligibility
Serves youth who are living with a family member or non-relative who was awarded custody on or after July 1, 2005. Having Power of Attorney (POA) does NOT qualify. Child must reside with relative. Child and caregiver must live in Lucas County. Household income (including all minor children) may not exceed 300% of federal poverty level
