Child and caregiver must live in Lucas County. Household income (including all minor children) may not exceed 300% of federal poverty level

Description

Provides short-term, time-limited payments to relative caregivers who have obtained permanent legal custody of a child. Not emergency assistance. Payments are designed to reimburse the initial costs associated with taking a relative's child/ren into the home. Those eligible can receive $525 per child initially and $300 per child at six-month intervals, not to exceed 8 total payments. Availability determined by state budget and availability of funds.
