- reside in a state with an active major disaster declaration, and in a county that has been designated for Individual Assistance
- have necessary expenses that were directly caused by the declared disaster that were not already covered by insurance or other forms of disaster assistance
- apply for assistance within 18 months of the date the President declared the disaster

Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals and households affected by a major disaster.
