Handles complaints and investigates issues dealing with suspected Medicaid fraud by providers and possible neglect or abuse of residents of long term care facilities in Ohio. Will prosecute if criminal action is found. Complaints addressed include, but not limited to, suspected Medicaid fraud by providers (billing for services not performed, over billing, kickbacks etc.) and possible neglect or abuse of residents of a long term care facility (such as nursing homes, group homes, MR/DD facilities, and hospital long term care units). Does not represent the person making the complaint as a private attorney would.

Ohio Attorney General's Office
Acts as attorney for the State of Ohio and its departments, boards, and agencies and is responsible for the collection of debts owed to the state. The Attorney General's Office has enforcement authority in areas empowered by the General Assembly.
