Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio (Habitat MidOhio) is part of an international organization that builds houses in partnership with low-income families. Habitat MidOhio is committed to providing opportunities for central Ohio families (Franklin, Licking and Madison Counties) to live in homes that are safe, decent, and affordable. Through our Neighborhood Revitalization efforts and partnership with donors, volunteers, and the community we offer two main programs to accomplish this goal: our homeownership program for first-time homeowners and our home repair program for current homeowners. Habitat MidOhio works with lending partners to provide affordable mortgage options based on income. Our home repair program that allows families to maintain homeownership through affordable home repairs. We serve Franklin, Licking and Madison counties. Currently Madison County is only available for home repairs (no homeownership opportunities at this time).

Call our intake line (614) 484-1966 or email [email protected] with any questions or to request an application. Note that homeownership applications are only accepted during certain periods.

Fee

No fees, however, Partner Families in our Homeownership Program pay an affordable mortgage based on income; Partner Families in our Home Repair Program have a payback based on income and project size/scope.

Eligibility

Partner Families through our Homeownership Program need to earn between 30-60% AMI. Partner families for our Home Repair Program must earn between 0-80% AMI. All must be willing to partner, display a need, and provide sweat equity hours. Additionally, families must have a steady source of income and meet all other criteria in application.
