Description

Evaluates requests for bankruptcy assistance where applicant seeks protection from creditor in the following instances: - Threat of garnishment or wrongful garnishment; - Utility shut off with no other options to reinstate service; - Driver's license suspension; - Income from Social Security or other governmental benefit is being offset to arrearage of more than $2,000 on federal mortgage. If applicant has a permanent disability, is retired or elderly, and is judgment proof: Offers assistance with communicating such facts with creditors.
