TAXPAYER ADVOCATE SERVICES | APPALACHIAN RESEARCH AND DEFENSE FUND OF KENTUCKY
Assists low-income individuals who have a tax dispute with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). A Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) can provide free legal representation to eligible taxpayers in audits, appeals, tax collection matters, and other disputes before the IRS and in court. They can also help taxpayers respond to IRS notices and correct account problems.

Eligibility
Serves residents of Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton Counties with a household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. Additionally, LITCs can typically only assist in situations where the amount in dispute with the IRS is less than $50,000.
