The Soteria House is open to all victims of domestic violence and sexual assault of any gender or race, from any city, county or state. It provides temporary housing where victims/survivors and their children have a safe place to live, heal, recover and thrive. Undisclosed location site.
Provides safe, confidential shelter and services to victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse and their children in Pickaway County and offers crisis intervention, case management, legal advocacy, referrals, support groups, individual counseling and more. All services are free and confidential.

Emergency shelter for runaways, homeless, and pushed-out youth. Provides 24 hour crisis hotline and shelter for runaway and homeless youth ages 10 to 21. Services include: emergency housing; food; clothing; referrals for individual, family, or group counseling. etc.

Hotel/Motel assistance: Used when emergency shelter is full. This assistance is designed for individuals/families experiencing a housing crisis who have no other place to temporarily reside. Homeless Prevention: Funds to be used to keep Preble County individuals/families experiencing a housing crisis (homelessness) related to non-payment of rent and at risk of homeless should financial assistance not be given. This is short term temporary financial assistance. Documentation is required for this assistance (I.e. utility disconnect letters, eviction letters). All funds are paid directly to landlords, utility provider etc.

Emergency financial assistance for rent, shelter, utilities, and gas cards to new employment appointments or medical emergencies is available to individuals/families in Licking County.
Immediate, safe shelter for victims of domestic violence.
Provides emergency shelter to runaway, troubled and homeless youth. Services include food, shelter, clothing, transportation and hygiene-related items (Gateway Services). All clients will be assessed and provided case management and linkage to appropriate community services. Clients may receive follow-up/aftercare services for 3 months, including a plan for exit, permanent placement, and achieving personal goals.

A respite center is operating at the Muskingum Valley Vineyard church at 299 Putnam Avenue. The center is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and being facilitated in partnership with Muskingum County Unified Command, United Way and Zane State College. Since many homeless shelters have had to suspend overnight services, shelter and rest will be provided. Only 10 people may be in the center at one time. Foodbags from Eastside will be given out. Each hour there will be something planned for participants. Friday will offer a spiritual aspect for participants.
LSS Choices has a temporary shelter available to adults and children who have experienced domestic violence. The shelter has been in overflow status for an extended amount of time, and they will accept domestic violence victims outside of Franklin County on a limited case by case basis. Other arragnements made need to be made for out of county victims. Pets can be housed on site for survivors who are living in the shelter.
