United Community Assistance Network (UCAN) offers financial assistance with rent and utilities on a case-by-case basis. Funds are very limited and may not always be available.

Case management and emergency financial assistance for assistance with needs associated with being HIV infected. Financial assistance includes help with short term rent, mortgage, and utilities for those who qualify. Proof of HIV diagnosis, household income and Ohio residency may be required for certain types of assistance. Services dependent on funding.

Assists families and individuals in need of temporary financial assistance. Offers vehicle repair, gas voucher(s) for employed adults with minor children, rental and utility assistance, job related services: uniform, work boots, safety glasses, and beds. Other services may be available; inquire if you’re unsure if help can be provided.

Provides rent, gas, electric and heating assistance. Funding is very limited.

Provides vouchers to assist with past due house/apartment/mobile home lot rent payments, mortgage payment (will help with first month's rent but not security deposits - $1,000 maximum per 12 month period); utility bill payment assistance (including gas, electric, bulk fuel water - $500 maximum per 12 month period). May also assist with the purchase or repair of major appliances ($750 maximum per calendar year). May assist with the purchase of bed frame, box springs, mattress, cribs and child beds ($500 maximum in 12 month period). Provides up to $2000 in moving expenses in certain cases (once per lifetime). In some cases may be able to help with home repair services (generally, only enough to cover a small repair). May consider assisting with other housing related needs at the discretion of the agency. Does not assist with PIPP Plus payments.

BHP will provide assistance with rent and/or deposits for adults who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, at risk of becoming homeless and diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI).

PIPP provides an opportunity for customers to manage electric, gas services by providing payment arrangements based on a percentage of the income of eligible households. For water assistance must have a shut-off notice.

Provides assistance to qualified individuals and families. Assistance available includes: - Auto Insurance - Liability up to four (4) months coverage. - Car Repair - Not regular maintenance. - Driver's Education Classes. - Employment Related Expenses. - GED Incentive. - Emergency Hot Water Tank Repairs or Replacement. - Emergency Furnace Repairs or Replacement. - Emergency HVAC Repairs. - School Fees. - Pest Removal Services. - Property Taxes - ½ year delinquent or longer.

Provides assistance with payment of back rent; electric, gas, and water bills. Proves automobile fuel assistance for those who need to get to medical appointments by taking them to the gas station and filling their vehicle. Availability of assistance will vary as this service is dependant on donations and may not always be available. Does not help with mortgage payments. Does not help with security deposit or first month's rent, or eveiction notices.

Provides a reduction in property taxes for eligible senior citizens and disabled homeowners in the county. The reduction is equal to the taxes that would otherwise be charged on up to $25,000 of the market value of an eligible taxpayer's homestead. For example, a home with a market value of $100,000 is billed as if it is worth $75,000. The exact amount of savings varies by location but, overall, homeowners save an average of $300-400 for the tax year.

Provides financial assistance to residents needing assistance with utilities, rent, and/or food.

Provides financial assistance and job-related expense assistance to people in emergency situations. Offers utility bill payment, rent assistance for those being evicted, car repairs and other job related expenses. Additional funds are temporarily available for help with shelter, utility, and food assistance. Applicants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 per PRC assistance group to receive help with shelter, utility, and food assistance.

Provide temporary shelter for single women and women with children who are homeless. Length of stay is 30 days with goal of moving to stable housing. Assistance with finding permanent housing and other resources.

Assistance to low income Madison County residents that are needing help with , prescriptions, rent assistance, homeless shelter, gas cards, etc.

Provides food, child care, Medicaid, cash, transportation, rent and utility assistance; child support enforcement; paternity establishment; child protective services; foster parent licensing and training; adult protective services.

Provides utility assistance for electric and water, and rent assistance for those in need, up to $250. Funds may be limited at times and appointments fill up quickly.

PRC provides one-time financial assistance (in a 12 month period) to aid with emergency situations. Program is not meant to serve as an ongoing source of income. Maximum assistance allowed is $2500 for overdue rent or mortgage payments, security deposits, temporary housing, property taxes, home repairs (if the owner;) overdue utility bills (except during Winter Crisis), driver license reinstatement fees, transportation and auto repairs. Applicants can request aid for more than one emergency (up to maximum assistance limit).

PRC Services may be able to provide emergency rent deposit assistance to income eligible households.
