Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) program provides street outreach services in Montgomery County to persons experiencing street homelessness and living in places not meant for human habitation. These persons have also been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness or dually diagnosed. PATH staff refers their clients to providers for mental health care, substance abuse treatment, recovery programs, housing opportunities, and other community resources. PATH aims to help each individual examine their personal goals, achieve their potential, and improve their quality of life.

Provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program, Section 8.

Maintains a list and provides information on sober housing and recovery residences. Recovery housing provides a sober living environment for individuals as part of their long term recovery plan. The living arrangement can be dormitory style living (most often in a building or center), a single family home, or an apartment. In most situations it is shared living which often means that there is shared bedroom space and shared common areas. The agency does not recommend or endorse recovery housing providers or provide direct referrals.

Administers subsidized rental program for low-income residents. Eligible applicants who are selected from the waiting list pay approximately 30-40% of adjusted gross family income in rent and the subsidy makes up the balance of market rent. The subsidy moves with participants and it can be used in any unit in the private market which passes an inspection as long as the participant remains eligible and the landlord agrees to participate in the program. There is a waiting list for this program. Provides those who have vouchers with lists of available housing that accepts vouchers. No assistance is provided with paying a rental deposit through this program.

Offers a searchable online database of rental options in Ohio.

Provides subsidized housing either through the Section 8 program or the public housing program.

Prepares and sells real estate property as directed by the court. Sales are conducted by verbal auction with the property sold to the highest bidder. The final bid that is accepted by the Sheriff results in a legally enforceable Contract under Ohio Law.

Provides Seniors and their families with accessing services and supports needed to stay as independent as possible. Comprehensive assessments is performed and referrals to services are made based on that assessment. Programs include Medicare, Medicaid Utility and Housing forms assistance when needed.

40 apartments designed especially for seniors with one-floor designs, bathroom railings and more located in downtown Springfield. Central air conditioning, washer/dryer hook-up, community room, energy efficient appliances, pet friendly, on-site manager and maintenance provided.

Serving low-income families and individuals in Fairfield County to help them obtain suitable and affordable housing.

Maintains a list of businesses and landlords who will rent living space to those who were formerly incarcerated and/or those with a criminal conviction on their record.

Provides consumers with a listing of privately owned and managed multi-family buildings that are approved to receive subsidy from the USDA Rural Development Program. The list covers all counties in the jurisdiction, and includes the address, the property manager to contact, and a summary of each property. List includes information on units that are approved for families, older adults, and those with disabilities. Extra assistance may be available for persons with very low incomes, the elderly, and persons with disabilities in cases where they cannot afford to pay 30% of their income.

Offers financial assistance for relocation expenses for City of Cincinnati tenants displaced due to building and health code violations, or other qualifying emergency situations such as fires. Assistance payments may be used for rent or security deposits and moving expenses. Amount of assistance provided varies based on household size.

Maintains a listing of homes available for purchase through HUD.

PRC provides one-time financial assistance (in a 12 month period) to aid with emergency situations. Program is not meant to serve as an ongoing source of income. Maximum assistance allowed is $2500 for overdue rent or mortgage payments, security deposits, temporary housing, property taxes, home repairs (if the owner;) overdue utility bills (except during Winter Crisis), driver license reinstatement fees, transportation and auto repairs. Applicants can request aid for more than one emergency (up to maximum assistance limit).

Provides help for eligible individuals applying for benefits, including but not limited to, food stamps, cash assistance, medical (Medicaid), and Social Security; obtaining official documents (birth certificates, state-issued ID), searching for employment, housing, mental health counseling or other community resources.
