Safe Beginnings | Tuscarawas County Health Department

Provides eligible families with concrete-safety related support items up to $200. This could include the following: Full size cribs, toddler beds, mattresses, strollers, convertible high-chairs, temporal thermometers, baby monitors, baby gates, childproofing home safety kits, and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Includes infant and child safety education on various topics, such as infant safe sleep guidelines, in-home safety recommendations and car seat best-practice training.

Cribs For Kids | Toledo-Lucas County Health Department

Provides a one hour safe-sleep class. At the end of the class, parents/caregivers are provided with a Graco Pack ‘n Play portable crib. Also offers a complete ‘Safe Sleep Survival Kit’, which contains a Halo Sleep Sack (wearable blanket with Back to Sleep message), a Pack n Play crib sheet, and a pacifier.

Prevention, Retention And Contingency (PRC) - Housing / Utilities | Geauga County Job And Family Services

Provides vouchers to assist with past due house/apartment/mobile home lot rent payments, mortgage payment (will help with first month's rent but not security deposits - $1,000 maximum per 12 month period); utility bill payment assistance (including gas, electric, bulk fuel water - $500 maximum per 12 month period). May also assist with the purchase or repair of major appliances ($750 maximum per calendar year). May assist with the purchase of bed frame, box springs, mattress, cribs and child beds ($500 maximum in 12 month period). Provides up to $2000 in moving expenses in certain cases (once per lifetime). In some cases may be able to help with home repair services (generally, only enough to cover a small repair). May consider assisting with other housing related needs at the discretion of the agency. Does not assist with PIPP Plus payments.

Incentive-based program where clients can earn new baby clothing (ages birth to 2T) and maternity clothing. Children's car seats/ booster seats may be available as well as other furniture items for babies including but not limited to pack and plays, cribs, etc. Gift cards may be available to pregnant women who become clients and who stay with the organization through the last 5 months of their pregnancy. Supplies are limited. Ongoing clients may also receive assistance with formula and diapers. Offers life skills classes for parents.

Prevention, Retention And Contingency (PRC) | Harrison County Department Of Job And Family Services

Provides assistance to qualified individuals and families. Intended to meet the local needs of families to overcome immediate barriers and help them become and stay self-supporting. Assistance available includes: Employment related expenses such as: -Vehicle repairs. - Driver's license fees (new or expired, does not include reinstatement). - Reimbursements for tools, equipment, uniforms, shoes/boots, and so forth. - Fingerprinting costs. - Gas vouchers for new employment (until receipt of first paycheck). Shelter/Housing expenses such as: - Rent or deposit for forestalling court-ordered evictions in rentals. - Bills to forestall utility shutoffs (gas, electric and water). - Fuel oil and propane purposes. - Emergency shelter due to fire, natural disaster, states of emergency, or domestic violence situations. Kinship assistance includes: - For a new kinship caregiver within six (6) months of a child moving into the home: Furniture and other items needs to care for children in the home. - Once a child(ren) has been with a kinship provider for more than six (6) months: There is an available reimbursement of child care costs up to four (4) months a year.
