Habitat can provide an affordable loan up to $2,000. Funds may be used to address “quality of life” issues for Southeast Ohio residents in order to maintain and sustain their current housing. They include, but are not limited to: *Small home improvement and repairs *Appliance repairs and purchases *Major vehicle repair or purchase *Medical equipment *Home accessibility projects and purchases

The Microfinance Program can provide affordable loans up to $2,000 so families can improve and maintain their homes and their quality of life without seeking out payday or high-interest predatory loans. Loans available for: - Replacement of countertops, cabinets, flooring, doors, windows, etc. - Repair (if manufactured within the last 15 years) or replacement of appliances - Repair of porches, decks, roof, etc. - Painting - Upgrades for energy efficiency - Accessibility projects (e.g., ramp). - Vehicle Repair funds may be available if the automotive repair could be linked to staying housed (example: fix vehicle to get to work to pay for housing). Individuals 60 and over may qualify for help with furnace repair. The program is usually administered in October from 8:00 AM - Noon; only a limited number of applicants will be accepted.

Summer: Assistance may be available for clients to help pay their cooling bill, obtain an air conditioner/fan, or repair an air conditioner. *Runs July 1-September 30. *Eligible households can receive up to $500 if they are a customer of a regulated utility or up to $800 if a customer of unregulated utilities. Winter: Provides eligible Ohioans assistance with monthly heating payments (gas and/or electric) if heating source is disconnected or threatened with disconnection, need to establish a new connection, transfer fee payments, or have 25% or less bulk fuel or wood supply remaining. Assistance may also be available for fuel tank placement/testing and furnace repair. Provides assistance once per heating season. *Runs November 1 to March 31. *Eligible households can receive up to $175 if they are a customer of a regulated utility or up to $750 if a customer of unregulated utilities.

Provides assistance with paying for installation and/or repair of a telephone or purchase of air conditioners, fans, washer or dryers. Maximum amount of assistance is $500.

Provides assistance with the purchase and repair of major appliances (such as furnace, stove, or refrigerator), furniture, and assistance with home repairs (such as structure, plumbing, water supply, sewage, electric and heating systems). Maximum payment in a 12 month period is $1,500 (which counts against an overall $1,500 cap on all PRC services in a 12 month period).

Provides assistance with paying for repair or purchase of appliances, personal expenses (clothing, child restraint seats, diapers, toiletries, and so forth), home furnishings (beds, mattress and box springs, kitchen table, chairs, and so forth). Provides assistance with paying for treatment, relocation, and education due to infestation of pest(s) including but not limited to bed bugs, fleas, rodents, roaches. Maximum amount of assistance will vary depending on what is needed.

Offers Columbia Gas customers an inspection of the house and heating equipment, client education, heating equipment repairs or replacement, insulation and weather-stripping and referrals to other energy programs. Services may include: *Attic and wall insulation *Air sealing *Natural gas furnace repair or replacement *Natural gas water heater repair or replacement

Provides vouchers to assist with past due house/apartment/mobile home lot rent payments, mortgage payment (will help with first month's rent but not security deposits - $1,000 maximum per 12 month period); utility bill payment assistance (including gas, electric, bulk fuel water - $500 maximum per 12 month period). May also assist with the purchase or repair of major appliances ($750 maximum per calendar year). May assist with the purchase of bed frame, box springs, mattress, cribs and child beds ($500 maximum in 12 month period). Provides up to $2000 in moving expenses in certain cases (once per lifetime). In some cases may be able to help with home repair services (generally, only enough to cover a small repair). May consider assisting with other housing related needs at the discretion of the agency. Does not assist with PIPP Plus payments.

Hosts repair events throughout the community for volunteers to provide repair services for households items, toys, and small appliances. Inspect all portable items (except those containing gasoline/petroleum) and repair if practical at no charge. The Toledo Repair Café does not do home-visits nor do we keep an inventory of replacement parts for repairs. If you have the parts bring them with you.

Provides various water repairs. For the main water line, will repair or make service line replacements. In the home, will repair or replace water tanks in addition to repairing plumbing fixtures such as leaking faucets, broken toilets ( installation of water saver toilet in the event of non-repairable toilet). Also, repair/correction of frozen water lines and k-line replacements. When available, may install water conservation kit to help reduce water usage.
