Prevention, Retention, and Contingency PRC is designed to assist families become self-sufficient or to maintain self-sufficiency during crisis, and MAY help with work tools and/or equipment as needed for work related purposes.
Provides emergency financial assistance to families who meet the eligibility requirements. Employment support includes clothing expenses up to $200 to obtain or retain employment (appropriate work clothes). Job-related expenses up to $500 for tools, safety equipment, short-term education expenses, and job support services. PRC total amount is $2,000.00.

The Work-Related Assistance Program, WRAP, is able to assist with work related tools and/or work related equipment needs for those who qualify. Assistance is a on a case by case basis, if funds are available.
The Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) program assists with employment related services such as work tools/equipment. Items must be needed to gain or retain employment of at least 32 hours per week.
Assists with gas, tools, uniforms and other items related to finding, securing or sustaining a job.

The program provides benefits and services to families who are in need of help with essential support to become self-sufficient. The PRC Program is designed to: •Prevent families from having to apply for OWF cash assistance when a crisis arises; •Help families retain employment by enhancing job skills , overcoming barriers and providing short-term assistance or wage supplementation if necessary. •Provide for contingent needs by helping families with nonrecurring urgent problems that could, if left unattended, result in families needing long-term public assistance. •Support families receiving OWF with services to enable them to become self-sufficient. Examples of short-term assistance through PRC include: •Shelter and utility assistance •Transportation assistance •Employment Related Supportive Services
