The CHIP Program has funds available to assist households utility assistance on a short term basis. The assistance is available through London MHA, which administers the funds for the County's CHIP Program. - security deposits - utility deposits - rent payments - utility payments - no back rent payments - no back utility payments - and no payments for telephone or cable television of any kind (the State emphasized this point)

Non-recurring, emergency benefits to help families meet basic needs and/or sustain employment. * Automotive repair assistance is for repairs only, does not cover general maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, multipoint inspection, etc)

Provides payment assistance for gas, electric, fuel oil, water/sewer payments (CAP of $1000.00 on utility assistance), to prevent disconnection, to install, or to reconnect a utility that has been shut off. Includes security deposit if required to install or reconnect an existing utility.

Provides financial assistance for individuals and families who are currently homeless including rental assistance, deposits for security and utilities, emergency supplies of food, clothing, furniture, appliances, and other housing start-up items.

Offers rent payment assistance, rent deposit assistance, MAY help with electric bills, mortgage payment assistance, utility deposits, gas money, home repair services, furnace repair/maintenance, home repair services car insurance and car maintenance and/or repair(must be needed for getting to and from a job or job training), as determined on a case by case basis.

Provides up to $150 in emergency financial assistance with utility bills and deposits. Clients with repeated requests may also be guided in creating a budget or spending assessment.

Provides support to veterans who are homeless or facing homelessness through housing assistance. Services include help covering rental arrearages, first-month rent, security deposits, utility assistance, moving costs, and budgeting.
