WMCAP serves are representative payee for those who receive social security benefits and need help managing his/her money WMCAP must be informed about the beneficiary's needs so the case manager can decide how benefits can be used for his/her personal care and well being. The case manager must ensure that the beneficiary's day to day needs for food and shelter are met Benefits may then be used for personal needs such as clothing, recreation or other expenses.
This program provides individualized financial management to seniors and people with disabilities who are unable to manage their financial affairs. Through this program, CSS helps protect people who are often financially exploited by helping them understand and meet their financial obligations. We use clients’ income to pay their bills for them so their basic needs are covered, then give them the money left over to use at their discretion. Assists seniors and disabled individuals who are having difficulty managing their own finances by providing assistance with budgeting, bill payment, managing financial assets, and preparing for long-term needs. These services help seniors and disabled individuals maintain their independence and provide protection from financial exploitation.
