WMCAP serves are representative payee for those who receive social security benefits and need help managing his/her money WMCAP must be informed about the beneficiary's needs so the case manager can decide how benefits can be used for his/her personal care and well being. The case manager must ensure that the beneficiary's day to day needs for food and shelter are met Benefits may then be used for personal needs such as clothing, recreation or other expenses.

Provides a program that manages income from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to, Social Security, veteran's benefits, and private pensions for individuals unable to handle their own financial matters. Service includes paying bills, budgeting, and meeting other financial obligations.

Assists with the management of social security income to ensure that payments are made for living expenses. Provides financial services including budget preparation, bill payment, money management, and account maintenance. Educates individual on making sound financial choices.

An individual who is found unable to handle their monthly benefits, the Social Security Administration will appoint CCCS to ensure the proper management of a client's benefits and that all basic needs of the client of are met.

As a Representative Payee, PICCA is responsible for receiving the beneficiary's monthly check, keeping track of what is spent on the beneficiary's behalf and deciding how benefits can best be used for his or her personal care and well-being.

Provides advocacy and management of individuals' finances, health issues, and other affairs when someone is deemed a ward of the state by a court by either volunteers or professional staff, depending on the complexity of the issues. Emergency guardianship is available if needed. Services provided may include assistance with health care and financial decisions, transportation to and from appointments and assistance with nursing home placement.

The payee program provides assistance to individuals who are unable to manage their income benefits well enough to maintain their basic. food, housing and clothing needs. Center for Disability Services is permitted to act as a Social Security Administration's (SSA) Organizational Payee for individuals who receive Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Taking great pride in the way we work to ensure the payee client is able to meet their needs, maintain their benefits, and teach fiscal responsibility. Clients have the right to choose which agency provides their payee services. Independent Life Skills (ILS) is available for individuals who receive payee services but do not receive homemaker and personal care services through the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities. ILS may occasionally assist payees with shopping or serve as an advocate.

Payee services are available for individuals with severe and chronic mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmentally disabled who receive social security funds. Services may include monitoring bank account with deposits/ payments, paying bills in a timely manner, and dispensing spending money in a regular and planned manner.

Individuals 60 and over may qualify for the assistance of a payee to help with paying bills and budgeting if this will help the individual stay in their own home.

Available for those individuals that are unable to manage their financial affairs due to poor health or other problems. Services are also provided to those individuals confined to nursing homes or other institutions of care. Services provided are maintenance of income, banking, budgeting, shopping, and case management.

Payee Services assists clients to better understand and meet their financial obligations and helps each individual establish a budget to manage monthly expenses. As the named payee for the person’s income, Payee Services accounts for all income and pays monthly bills on time on behalf of the client. Our services help people avoid getting behind or building debt that can not be resolved.
