Provides information and guidance for filing and paying Ohio income taxes.

Provides a form to complete and return so individuals may apply for an automatic extension of time to file United States (U. S.) individual income tax return. Filing Form 4868 gives taxpayers until October 15th to file their tax return but does not grant an extension of time to pay taxes due. An extension is a request for additional time to file, not additional time to pay. Taxpayers should pay their federal income tax due by April 15th to avoid interest and penalties. NOTE: If a tax filer is certain they are due a tax refund, it is not necessary to file an extension. There is no penalty for late filing unless you owe the IRS.

Assists veterans and their dependents in applying for state and federal benefits; including: pension and compensation claims insurance, hospitals and nursing home care. Also helps veterans at no cost to obtain an Veterans ID card.

State agency responsible for administering and enforcing tax laws and related statutes established by the state. Provides information on and assistance with Ohio state taxes, including income, sales, property and corporate franchise taxes.

Offers information on programs and activities for senior citizens, such as social activities, planned trips, monthly speakers, and Tax Aid (income tax forms assistance from February through March). Also offers an eight hour course on defensive driving skills for seniors.

The Health & Human Services program provides information and referral, library materials, book delivery to homebound, hearing tests, support groups, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, blood pressure/sugar checks, tax assistance, health screenings and wellness seminars, and transportation to the center, grocery store, or personal appointments. Provides outreach services which include transportation to medical appointments (for persons 60+); home visiting; assistance with tax and insurance forms and applications. Also a site for the Golden Buckeye program.

Investigates suspected cases of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation of Preble County residents ages 60 and up. Also provides case management and community collaboration to alleviate the alleged abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.
