PACE is New Directions Parent and Child Education program that addresses youth facing multiple risk factors, providing space for youth and parents to learn and grow together. The PACE program includes two tracks, one for the parent/caregiver and one for the youth where they learn about healthy relationships, digital respect and safety and risky behaviors.

New DirectionsYouth Advocates provide advocacy for youth who have witnessed violence or experienced domestic or sexual violence, whether they are staying in our shelter or living in the community. Individual support, guidance, and advocacy available.

Operates a helpline to discuss dating issues with trained peer advocates who provide support, safety planning, and resource referrals. Attempts to reduce the incidence of date rape, verbal and physical abuse, threats of abuse, and other forms of violence that occur between dating teens. Provides information and referrals for individuals who have been sexually assaulted, physically abused, verbally abused, and/or threatened.

Provides police protection services, general crime prevention information and education for the City of Parma. Also, provides information and education on child abuse prevention and child safety, elder abuse prevention, personal safety, burglar prevention, and sexual assault prevention. Offers vacation security checks and security evaluations for businesses and residents.

Provides a variety of education programs through public and parochial schools; programs include special education, tobacco, drug and alcohol prevention, before and after school and summer enrichment and extended learning, youth employment services, and preschool services.

Provides speakers and workshops for schools, civic groups, churches, organizations, sororities, and workplaces to deal with issues pertaining to domestic violence. Will speak about domestic violence and how it relates to elder abuse, peer and dating violence, workplace violence, and abuse. Healthy Relationship presentations for schools is also offered. Trains professionals to more effectively identify and intervene in domestic violence situations.

Provides junior high and high school teen dating violence and domestic violence prevention program to all Greene County junior highs and high schools.

Provides a peer-to-peer educational program that deals with issues of healthy dating relationships and awareness of bullying. Program can also train volunteer students to become peer leaders in their schools who can deliver the curriculum to their student body. Students develop an understanding of unhealthy behaviors that can lead to toxic or abusive relationships and are instructed on healthy actions they can take as well as how to support friends who may be victims. The presentation can be used for groups of any size and can be used for training of peer mediators, parents, or school personnel. Meets state of Ohio requirements to provide teen dating violence prevention.

Offers programs for the general public and local schools to raise awareness of the problem of domestic violence. In school evidence-based prevention and education program offered for school staff and grades 7-12 on dating violence. Professional development seminars are held throughout the year on dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and related topics. Men's Anti-violence Program is offered for male offenders of domestic violence.
